Professional, driven and experienced Bid Manager, with a proven bids/tenders/proposals career, is needed to work as part of the business development team. In addition to bids/ proposals /tender experience and a track record of success, you will also bring the following to this Bid Management role;

You will manage the pitch and proposal process from initiation to implementation, ensuring a professional and polished delivery each time. Working with key stakeholders across the firm to facilitate the development and continued management of a sophisticated approach to tender opportunities. This will include:

·         Project management & writing of bids and tenders; working on all (major) proposals, supporting Partners/Directors, with creative and strategic input

·         Development and delivery of best practice policies relating to sales proposals

·         Develop appropriate systems and structure to ensure a consistent approach in relation to tender opportunities

·         Facilitate the creation of various databases of pre-written content and other standard information such as standard bid documentation, precedents, house style and templates to ensure a consistent approach, and alignment with overall firm strategy

·         Build, maintain and manage practice area / firm credentials database  

·         Act as the custodian of relevant background data and materials

·         Introduction of a systematic approach to the collection of 'debrief' material and provision of appropriate de-brief

·         Involvement in the rehearsal process, strategic and tactical sales advice across the firm

·         Provision of regular reporting on tender activity, performance and initiatives

·         Liaising with the Business Development Director to ensure interconnectivity (tender de-brief) with broader client service activity

·         Collate templates and historic tenders to compile a tender library

·         Meet with lateral hires / new recruits to understand competitor activity and build understanding of best practice

Salary: to c£35,000 + excellent benefits

Location: Plymouth, but will consider applicants based in Exeter, Truro or Taunton
