An experienced Human Resources Officer to join the team within a leading London law firm, based near Liverpool Street. This is a high profile generalist role looking after several business services client groups, including Marketing, HR, Finance and IT.

You will be reporting to a HR Manager and your responsibilities will include:

-          Recruitment; liaising with line managers to ascertain their recruitment needs for staff, conducting interviews.

-          Employee Relations; managing grievances, disciplinaries and redundancies and conducting exit, maternity and sickness interviews.

-          Performance Management; advising and coaching line managers on how to handle performance issues, assisting the HR Manager with the appraisal process, working closely with Learning & Development to identify and meet L&D solutions.

-          Remuneration and Benefits research, supporting the pay review process.

 

You will be working closely with the HR Assistant, supervising and delegating to ensure administration/paperwork delivered to a high standard at all times and provide suggestions for improvements to processes.

Excellent communication skills required, a self-starter with confidence and gravitas, the ability to prioritise and make decisions, and a professional approach are essential. You will need a minimum of 2 years experience as an HR Officer, either within another central London law firm (ideally), or within a bank or accountancy practice. A good degree is essential (min.2:1) and you should be either fully or part-CIPD qualified.
