Clinical Negligence Solicitor, Scunthorpe, 2-3 PQE

Due to expansion, a new opportunity has arisen within a well-established Solicitor’s firm. You will be based in the clinical negligence team, handling own caseload of clinical negligence claims. Duties will include:

·         Attendance on clients and others in order to take statements, obtain information, make appointments and complete Legal Services Commission (LSC) forms.

·         Instruction of experts and/or Counsel as appropriate.

·         Undertake advocacy, where appropriate, in any case or matter.

·         To ensure monies are obtained from the Legal Services Commission and private clients on account

by interim and final billing.

·         To draft legal documents as appropriate.

·         To arrange for filing of documents, service of documents and enforcement as appropriate.

·         To authorise payment to third parties.

You will be a qualified Solicitor and have a minimum of 2 years experience of handling own caseload of clinical negligence files. Advocacy experience is also required. You will also need a current practising certificate and good management, communication, marketing and organisational skills. 

Salary – competitive for 2-3pqe Solicitor
