Pensions Solicitor, Newcastle 1-2pqe+

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Pensions Solicitor, 1-2 years PQE ideally (or equivalent) to join a well-established and busy team of a large law firm based in Newcastle upon Tyne. The team is instructed by both national and international clients. It also works closely with the teams in Private Client, Corporate and Insolvency. The team also offers an independent trustee function.

Primarily based in the Newcastle office, this team offers plenty of interesting and challenging opportunities for client contact, drafting documents, and negotiating complex transactions. The Pensions team also offers the opportunity to get involved in contentious work, ranging from individual complaints and disputes to Pensions Ombudsman and court proceedings.

Thorough training gained within a City or regional firm and the desire and aptitude to undertake a wide range of challenging and varied work. Commercially aware and technically proficient and solid experience of Pensions law is essential for this role.

An interest in business development would be advantageous.
