Large law firm seeks an Associate Solicitor to join its' expanding shipping department in Newcastle. The department act for ship owners, charterers and operators, together with their insurers. Whilst several members of the team have sea-going experience, others have commercial experience gained in banks, insurance and oil trading so as well as shipping claims they also handle commercial and finance work.

To apply you must have experience as a Law Cost Draftsperson, ideally a minimum of 2-3 years experience in drafting bills of costs and attending detailed assessment hearings, have experience of dealing with claimant work and be a pro-active team player with excellent negotiation skills. Experience also as a PI Fee Earner would be advantageous.
