Job-Board Selection;

generalist, niche or regional?

Are you scared of dipping into the large space of online recruiting in case you get 100s of irrelevant applications, taking up hours of administration time? With over a thousand Job-boards in the UK alone and new ones popping up every week, how do you know which site to use? Employers looking to advertise on a jobs-board in today’s market can face a very daunting task.

Do you choose a generalist one, a regionally based site or industry-specific niche job-board? How many sites should you be posting your job/s on? Are you getting the best advertising rates? We select the most suitable job-board/s for your vacancy to gain the best response and then manage all applications, prioritising them based on your filtering criteria.

e-recruitment buddy offers a completely unbiased opinion, well-founded on facts and results, to promote your job/s and create a pipeline to attract the right candidates. Working with e-recruitment buddy saves you making costly mistakes and leaves you with the time to focus on your business, whilst we negotiate the maze of job-boards.

The internet is a powerful tool – don’t miss out, but don’t get fooled by the hype!

Having worked in the job-board industry for 5 years, we know the right questions to ask – from visitor statistics {application numbers, demographics, sectors covered} to relevant and up-to-date testimonials. We make sure that your vacancy gets the coverage needed – whether that is by homepage {job of the week} advertising, sector sponsorship or via a banner or targeted e-shot. We will ensure your vacancy advertisement is written with the right keywords needed to appear high on the job listings {it is true that many boards have ‘weighted’ functionality towards specific aspects of your advert}. We also refresh your job on a regular basis, again to not get lost in a sea of other similar vacancies being advertised.

There is a vast choice out there and before you commit to spending your recruitment budget we will recommend what is best for you and your role/s at the time of recruiting. It is important to be aware that in this marketplace things can change really quickly – so what may well have been an excellent job-board to advertise on last year – may not be the correct choice right now.

Generalist job-boards have high traffic figures and whenever you look at league tables of the top 20 most visited job-boards  – they will almost all be generalist ones. This is by no means a criteria to base your decision on regarding where to advertise for your next recruit. Niche and Regional Job-boards should play an important part of your on-line recruitment solution.

e-recruitment buddy will negotiate reduced advertising rates for you, because of our ability to bulk buy.

Is working with e-recruitment buddy for you?

Do you often think the following about online recruitment ....

  • Where do I start to look to make a decision which job-board/s to advertise on?
  • My budget is tight and I don’t want to place an advert and then not get the responses I’m looking for.
  • There are so many recruitment agencies advertising online I don’t want my advert to be swamped by theirs.
  • Are there any effective sources that actually won’t cost me a penny to advertise?

If you are not advertising in the right places, how on earth do you expect to find the right candidates for your business?

The Small Print!

  • All specific company branded vacancy advertising (on paying sources) must be paid for by the client.
  • The client agrees a budget for advertising and e-recruitment buddy will not go above that, unless further agreement from the client.
  • When invoiced the client will see the exact break-down of costs and will have copy invoices/receipts attached from specific branded advertising campaigns.
  • In some cases we may ask for payment upfront from the client for advertising, where it is stipulated by the medium.
